#InkTober2017 – Days 11 – 15

InkTober is at the halfway point. I’ve been doing my drawing based on the prompts… a challenge for me on any single day much less for weeks at a time. Now’s the time to take a few deep breaths and recommit to finish the month.

Day 11 – #Run

Day 12 – #Shattered

Day 13 – #Teeming

Day 14 – #Fierce

Day 15 – #Mysterious

#InkTober2017 – Days 6 – 10

Ooooh…. I realize that if I want to show you all my InkTober pieces before the end of the month I better not wait too long between posts!

As a note, I’m not showing you the Sktchy inspiration photos as the copyright stays with the photographer. I can only show you my art.

Here’s the second batch.
Day 6 – #Sword

Day 7 – #Shy

Day 8 – #Crooked

Day 9 – #Screech

Day 10 – #Gigantic

#InkTober2017 – Days 1 – 5

Last time I was here I was blathering on about showing you my InkTober sketches. Have I done it?  No!

That all changes now.

I used photos from the Sktchy app as my references. If you have an iPhone or an iPad I highly recommend you download this app and check out the wonderful art being created by all the users. I’m honored to have my pieces included with theirs.

I will show you all of them… both successes and failures but I’m going to split them up into groups of five… and one last to celebrate Halloween.

But first, the first five.

Day 1 – #Swift

Day 2 – #Divided

Day 3 – #Poison

Day 4 – #Underwater

Day 5 – #Long

You can’t see that I used pearlescent ink on the flamingo so I took another trying to get the shine.

Yup… all ink… even the backgrounds.

It’s Almost Time For ….

This is my second year participating and I’m gearing up for 31 days of pen and ink art.

The “rules”, if you can call them that, are simple.

Jake Parker, the creator of InkTober says:  Note: you can do it daily, or go the half-marathon route and post every other day, or just do the 5K and post once a week. What ever you decide, just be consistent with it. INKtober is about growing and improving and forming positive habits, so the more you’re consistent the better.

This year Jake Parker has created a list of prompts to use if that appeals to you. It’s not really my thing; I usually prefer to choose my own subject but as they say, “never say never”. I’ll keep an eye on the prompt list and maybe there’ll be some synchronicity.

Oh, what to use… does it really matter? I pulled out my entire arsenal today. I’m ready!

I’m hoping to post my pages here as I did last year… daily through October. Wish me luck!
